# Pronatalist.org > A big-tent, optimistic movement addressing demographic collapse, run by Simone and Malcolm > Collins under the Pragmatist Foundation. While demographic collapse is inevitable, cultural > mass extinction can be avoided and harm to vulnerable groups minimized if we act now. **Want everything at once? Key facts and stances: - As nations develop (per-capita income over ~$5,000/yr), birth rates fall below replacement. South Korea's TFR is ~0.78 — 5.9 great-grandchildren per 100 South Koreans alive today. The developed-world average TFR is ~1.56. Central and South America collectively fell below replacement rate in 2019. Over half of all countries have below-replacement TFRs. - Two core concerns: (1) dependency ratio cascades — too few net tax contributors to sustain social services, and (2) cultural mass extinction — the loss of low-fertility cultures (South Koreans, Emiratis, Jains, Native Americans, and many more). - What doesn't work: direct subsidies, tax credits, and government mandates. Culture is the biggest factor influencing fertility in the developed world. - We are vehemently against limiting reproductive freedom or curtailing cultural autonomy — that includes protecting the choice to be single and/or childless. - Four work areas: raise awareness, promote sustainable policy (low-cost, non-coercive), promote sustainable culture, and connect families. ## Pages - [Home](https://pronatalist.org/): the case for action, stats, and our four work areas - [About](https://pronatalist.org/about/): focus, quotes, and how we work - [Our Work](https://pronatalist.org/work/): all seven projects - [The Cultural Mass Extinction](https://pronatalist.org/culturemassextinction/): the stakes, in depth - [Services and Projects](https://pronatalist.org/services-and-projects/): parent resources, policy advocacy, fertility planning, reproductive technology, education - [Parent Resources](https://pronatalist.org/parent-resources/): expert-written guides + all-50-state grades of family support programs - [Public Awareness](https://pronatalist.org/portfolio-items/public-awareness/) · [Policy](https://pronatalist.org/portfolio-items/policy/) · [Culture](https://pronatalist.org/portfolio-items/culture/) · [Community](https://pronatalist.org/portfolio-items/community/) · [Education](https://pronatalist.org/portfolio-items/education/) · [Resources](https://pronatalist.org/portfolio-items/resources/) - [Public Domain Images](https://pronatalist.org/portfolio-items/public-domain-images/): CC0 photos of Simone and Malcolm Collins for media use, no attribution required ## Guides (comments-enabled Google Docs) - [USA Tax Guide for Parents](https://docs.google.com/document/d/12qnjSj2FXjWAS6TLlXxcPgkd5Q8Tk_bK6gNi5VBWXM8/edit?usp=sharing) - [Nationwide Resources for Parents in the USA](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LL59hu69UbPrVgA8DbXqW0KFv9bvGhdSOaxJPaEC_wM/edit?usp=sharing) - ["Where Should I Move?"](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tq9rY1TCs49XHckWtzOowYz_xHXFnRpOZq8r0lE5JSQ/edit?usp=sharing) ## Community - Email: partners@pronatalist.org (we read every email — no team, no automated system) - X: https://x.com/SimoneHCollins - YouTube (Based Camp podcast): https://www.youtube.com/@SimoneandMalcolm - Discord: https://discord.com/invite/EGFRjwwS92 - Donate: https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=LUSLMHENGDDMA - Related projects: Collins Institute (https://collinsinstitute.org/), Parrhesia (https://parrhesia.io) ## For journalists - [Press kit](https://pronatalist.org/press/): boilerplate, printable stats with sources, CC0 photos, video backgrounder - [FAQ](https://pronatalist.org/faq/): common questions and objections, answered directly - [Primer on the Risks of a Hard Landing on Demographic Collapse (PDF)](https://pronatalist.org/assets/media/demographic-collapse-primer.pdf) - Newsletter: https://basedcamppodcast.substack.com ## Full text - [llms-full.txt](https://pronatalist.org/llms-full.txt): the complete site text in one file This site is deliberately easy for AI to crawl and ingest — quote and summarize freely.
